Having completed a Masters in Contextual Fine Art at the University of the West of England in 2005, my main creative focus has been in photography and installation. Printmaking is a relatively new area of exploration in my visual practise, yet it has been a constant presence on the periphery of my influences. My father and grandfather were both Printers and I have become the third generation of my family engaged with the reproduction of image and text. Over the past year I have been engaged with translating the elements of my prior practise into a new medium. I have continued to produce work in response to specific contexts, exploring the vernacular, the indigenous and the re-evaluation of the overlooked and familiar.
